Change your community, from the Inside Out

Inside Out_V2 scaled

Churches looking for ideas to have a greater impact on their communities now have a new resource at their fingertips to assist them on their way.

Inside Out is a six-session course designed to be used with church groups, which seeks to help churches rethink the meaning of mission, in every area of life, together; take a fresh look at integrating words and actions to help bring change to their communities; and build a group that's equipped to take action.

Viral Bible Challenge...

Viral Bible Challenge

...gives you a chance to put those Bibles gathering dust on your shelf to work.

We are asking people to look out their old or unused bibles, then to customise them to make them Viral Bibles - meaning that anyone at all can get involved. Like the initial phase, Viral Bible Challenge gets people to identify their favourite verses and then upload them to the website.

Your personal Viral Bible then stays with you collecting verses and climbing up the leader board on the Biblefresh web page.

Prizes for those with the most verses range from a free book to an iPad2.

For further information please:

How's the family?

EA FAMILY REPORT COVER scaled

According to our latest survey, it's messy but it's good.

Our report, released this week looks at family life and marriage and shows that Christians place a high value on commitment and faithfulness in relationships. It also shows that Churches are places where family life is celebrated, honoured and nurtured, providing a strong surrogate extended family.

Friday Night Theology

Friday Night Theology is the Evangelical Alliance regular email comment on a news event of the week.

Many of us spend our weekends talking about the events of the week with friends and family who aren't Christians. Friday Night Theology is a tool that you can use to enable Jesus to join in the conversation. Our underlying premise is that Jesus Christ is Lord of all, and so whatever has arisen during the week in the world of politics, media, sport or culture, Jesus has something to say. We also hope that FNT will prove to be a useful resource for preachers as they speak into their congregation's lives each weekend.

We aim to provide these comments by 5pm each Friday.
