The appointee will expand our work in universities, workplaces and churches and enhance the role of local groups.

This full time position is funded for three years. The salary will be in the region of £25k p.a. depending on qualifications and experience. A background in science is essential, along with an appreciation of science-faith issues. The post would suit a recent science PhD or someone with several years experience since graduating with a first degree in a scientific subject.

Accountant:

The administrative support for Feba's mission is being simplified and streamlined with an operations team bringing together supporter relations, financial management, receipting and reporting, office services and IT services.

We are seeking a committed accountant to take a professional lead in that team, in book-keeping, preparing statements for the chief executive, management and board and helping them to interpret the figures and plan future commitments.

You will be a qualified accountant who has knowledge of, or is happy to learn, charity accounting to meet the requirements of the Charity Commission.  You will have some 3-5 years experience and be confident to lead accounting, working for the year end statements and technical issues with our auditors.   You will appreciate precision, yet have a passion to simplify and streamline operations to provide good value for donors.  You will enjoy a broad role that includes forecasting and reporting, international operations, a subsidiary in Cyprus, payroll, dealing with Gift Aid and VAT as well as donors and suppliers.

As a member of the operations team, you will support your colleagues, train and coach - and receive the same inputs in return.
