The Evangelical Alliance is hosting a gathering for Christian bloggers on 23 September 2008 at its Headquarters, Whitefield House, in London.
The event is designed to give Christian bloggers an opportunity to network face-to-face and to think through a godly approach to blogging.
Mark Meynell, Senior Associate Minister at All Souls Church, will kick off the event, by taking the bloggers through a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Christian Blogosphere.
Phil Whittall, who leads a newfrontiers church in Shrewsbury, will be speaking about relationships in invisible communities and after lunch, Peter Sanlon will address the topic of blogging and the Bible.
A code of conduct for godly blogging will be developed as a result of the event, to help Christians communicate in cyberspace in a Christ-like way.
The cost for the event is £5, which includes lunch. To book, email Alexandra Lilley at a.lilley@eauk.org before 16 September.

Does this event have a website? And has anyone who went as a punter written a review of it yet?

Hi Mr Ross, This event will be recorded and a podcast will be made available to download.
In the future, we are looking at the possibility of live interactive webcasts for events like this, and would love to hear from you, and others who might like to get involved, whether this would be of interest.
As an Alliance, we are committed to holding events around the country as well as in London and we do have a national Alliance based in Glasgow as well as others in Wales and Northern Ireland. For example, we recently hosted an exclusive preview of the Narnia film Prince Caspian in Scotland. To find out more about the events being held in the nations, please click on the links in the main menu at the top and bottom of this website.
Best regards Alistair

Yet again (!) those of us who live north of Watford seem to have been forgotten!! I have had a blog since the beginning of this year (www.crazyrev.blogspot.com) and would like it to be a ministry of encouragement and of challenge. I wouold love to find out how to increase the traffic, and would possibly receive some help at this event. unfprtunately, living in Motherwell - about 12 miles south of Glasgow (Scotland) means that it is a logistical impossibility. Any possibility of recordings of the sessions being made available online or, at the very least, a similar event for other parts of the UK??
