Holy Week 2016: Codwch

Codwch Join us during Holy Week as we reflect on what it is to arise from the sorrow and darkness of Good Friday and into the light of Easter Day.

by Daphne Godwin, leader of Ffald-y-Brenin along with her husband Roy

Codwch means arise in Welsh. Click here to see a full size version of the reflection in it's original form alongside the picture.

The cube, the box

It's strong

It's deep

It's dark

The walls are thick,

The stone is hard

The stone is black

      Inside the box

The lid is off

Who lifted it?

The light is in

  The stone is not black

But clean and good

There's hope, I feel

My spirit rise

I see I am good

  Strong

And caring

Waiting

To help me out

Dare I

Leave my cosy box

It hides a lot

The light

The light will highlight everything

Dare I

Dare I

Take that hand….?
