The Missing Generation
The Evangelical Alliance Council met on 16 September 2009, specifically addressing the question of 18-30s as the 'Missing Generation?' in our churches today.
Mike Pilavachi of Soul Survivor gave the plenary address, suggesting that the key problems affecting this generation in the church is a culture of consumerism, individualism and entitlement.
The Evangelical Alliance had also surveyed over 800 young people at the Momentum Festival in the summer. The results of the survey were presented at the meeting and are included in the main report.
