greatcommission.co.uk celebrates first anniversary

The Great Commission website is celebrating its first anniversary.

The evangelism hub has shared more than 50 stories of how Jesus is changing lives across the UK since its launch in October 2016.

greatcommission.co.uk was set up to help Christians and churches share their own stories of how Jesus has changed lives, and become equipped to share Jesus in their communities.

Lucy Olofinjana, unity programmes manager at the Evangelical Alliance, said: "Telling others the story of the impact Jesus has had in our lives is one of the greatest gifts we can give those who don't know him.

We're delighted that so many people have used greatcommission.co.uk to help them and their churches share the story of how Jesus changes lives."

Gavin Calver, direction of mission at the Evangelical Alliance, said: "I'm so grateful to the many who have told the story of how Jesus has changed their lives, to others who've shared resources, those who've written blogs, and those who've prayed.

"If we keep working together, we could see this nation changed."

The website brings together wide range of tools, reflections and stories to inspire and encourage Christians to talk about Jesus.

Each week a new video is released featuring someone whose life has been changed by Jesus.

The videos have now been watched more than 42,000 times and there are more than 85 written relfections to help Christians think through how they can be sharing Jesus, from biblical reflections on evangelism to top tips for sports and online outreach.

Visitors to the sight can also search more than 200 resources, sorted into topics, to help with events and ideas.
