With its head offices based in London, the Evangelical Alliance believes that it has a role to play in the life of our capital.
The gathering which was formerly known as London Leaders was reborn two years ago under the Hope for London banner. In partnership with Premier Christian Radio, Soul in the City, and ACEA, and under the guidance of the steering group, we are now seeing increasing numbers of church leaders coming together on a six-monthly basis for encouragement and envisioning.
The breakfasts enable leaders to enjoy fellowship and worship together and pray for one another, but also give the opportunity to stand together as one, seeking God's heart for the city.
We are currently taking time to consider together what it is to be a confident church in today's capital. Speakers have included Greg Haslam (Westminster Chapel), Terry Virgo (newfrontiers), Joel Edwards (Evangelical Alliance) and Dutch Sheets (Dutch Sheets Ministries and Springs Harvest Fellowship, Colorado Springs), Hugh Osgood (ACEA and Cornerstone Christian Centre), Hugh Palmer (All Souls, Langham Place) and most recently Colin Dye (Kensington Temple).
If you are a leader in London and would like more information about the meetings once they are available please email j.fraser@eauk.org, and we will add your name to our regular mailing list.
The Hope for London booklet sponsored by the Metropolitan Police, A Christian Response to Crime in the Capital, with ideas for prayer and social action and a list of resources around issues of crime and disruption, is still available. Please send an A4 sized s.a.e. to Churches in Mission Department, Hope for London, Whitefield House, 186 Kennington Park Road, London, SE11 4BT for your free copy.
