I used to work in further education in the UK and southern
Africa, but when I became a mum 10 years ago all that came to a grinding
halt. I wanted to work around my boys, so
I started working in freelance journalism. Freelancing can sometimes be lonely
so I approached the Evangelical Alliance offering to volunteer.
I've now been a
volunteer writer on their media team for over a year and really enjoy it. It teaches
me about how media works, gives me some new skills and also motivates me in my
freelancing as I hear about what Christians are doing globally.
