Christian events at party conferences - 2013

Christian groups of the country's leading political parties are holding special events throughout conference season.

Liberal Democrat Christian Forum

The forum has an exciting programme of events lined up for the Liberal Democrat Party Conference in Glasgow this year.

The Conference runs from 14-18 September at the SECC in Glasgow. LDCF will be there throughout the conference, with a stand in the exhibition centre and at least one event every day. There is something for everyone, with events ranging from a Catholic Mass to a Free Churches Breakfast. Our key fringe debate is on the first day, and is entitled 'Liberal Democrats Do God'. It will launch our new book of the same name - and with both contributors and an atheist on the panel, it should be a good debate!

For more information, see the flyer outlining all the activities.

Christian Socialist Movement

The Christian Socialist Movement will be holding a range of events throughout the Labour party conference from 22-25 September in Brighton.

Events include the Sunday Church Service on 22 September on the theme of 'A New Exodus – liberation from modern-day slavery', featuring Pete Greig of 24/7 Prayer.

The Sunday training event is entitled 'Those Who Show Up' and involves an evening of storytelling and workshops from those engaged in politics locally and globally.

Talks throughout the conference include one around the theme of ending domestic abuse, another on the state of the banking industry and others on capitalism and keeping money local.

For further details on all these events, visit the CSM website.

Conservative Christian Fellowship

The CCF will be holding party events throughout the Conservative party conference from 29 September – 2 October.

These events are free to attend and are on a first come first served basis so registration is strongly advised.
