For over 160 years the Evangelical Alliance has been at the forefront of many key developments which have helped to shape the spiritual and social landscape of the UK. It has provided leadership in demonstrating that Evangelicalism is good news.
From the Billy Graham crusades and prayer campaigns during WW2, to establishing Tearfund and providing an intelligible voice to media and politics, the Evangelical Alliance has had the vision to birth initiatives which have played their part in transforming society.

Offering an alternative to the ‘lad’s mag’ A Christian men’s magazine is breaking into the mainstream, presenting an alternative to the ‘lad’s mags’ on offer on shop shelves around the country. Sorted magazine’s research showed that men are not just looking for pictures of half-naked women and want relevant, informative magazines that won’t patronise them or objectify women.
Gather: the conference – are you coming? There are a growing number of unity movements that have been formed in towns and cities across the UK over the last few years. Founded on prayer and friendship among leaders and churches they are resulting in some very exciting mission initiatives. Gather is a collaboration of these movements and in February its first-ever conference will be held in Derbyshire.
Gimme shelter The new year brought good news to the homeless people of Swansea, with churches opening their doors to provide accommodation in January and February. The local media and the BBC picked up on this, giving ample coverage to the venture.

Evangelical Alliance welcomes new Marriage Foundation launched on Divorce Day Peter Lynas, the director of Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland, has welcomed the news that Sir Paul Coleridge, a senior Family Court Judge, is launching a campaign to promote marriage and reverse the appalling and costly impact of family breakdown.1 The news comes on the first working day after the Christmas and new-year break, which is known in legal circles as Divorce Day.
