Welcome to the Evangelical Alliance

How can we help young people engage with the Bible in a way that connects with everyday life?

How can we help young people get a good grasp on what Christians believe?

essential - engaging young people in biblical truth

These are two very important questions that the Evangelical Alliance’s *essential project is trying to address.  Working with a variety of organisations the Alliance is seeking to support and equip youth leaders, parents and anyone else seeking to engage young people with biblical truth.

The hub of the *essential project is a website which recommends resources and training courses as well as providing responses to the difficult questions that young people often ask.

For example: Do only Christians go to heaven?  Don’t all religions lead to God?  Does God ever change his mind?  Why do we sing songs that say God is beautiful?

"More than ever young people need to know what they believe and why they believe it.  Only then can they live it."
[Nigel James – Ignite]

"Reliable information about good quality resources that are relevant and useable in Christian youth work is so hard to find. www.essential-truth.org will be an invaluable resource."
[Peter Messenger - Volunteer Youth Leader]

"With such a variety of creative expressions for evangelism in existence today, it is crucial that young disciples are grounded in theological truths and relevant, informed apologetics."
[Phil Sheldrake - Youth For Christ]

"At last, a website that provides helpful overviews of resources and easily accessible answers to difficult theological questions.  The *essential website is an excellent starting place for preparing youth group sessions."
[Claire Earl - Youth Minister]

Sexual Orientation Regulations
The Evangelical Alliance is still committed to holding Government officials to account on the regulations in England and Wales, as it has done from the beginning of this legislation’s development.
