The controversy over the Archbishop of Canterbury has escalated this conversation, and we feel this is an opportune time to widen the debate to the broader Christian community.

Hundreds bid farewell to John Stott – a radical disciple
Hundreds packed out St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of the city of London on Friday to celebrate the life of John Stott – one of the 20th century’s leading evangelical thinkers – who died in July, aged 90. Staff from the Evangelical Alliance, including General Director Steve Clifford, were among 2,000 people who joined Rev Stott’s closest friends and colleagues, as well as the Archbishops of Canterbury and York and the Bishop of London, at the memorial service.

Peter Lynas, the director of Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland, has welcomed the news that Sir Paul Coleridge, a senior Family Court Judge, is launching a campaign to promote marriage and reverse the appalling and costly impact of family breakdown.1 The news comes on the first working day after the Christmas and new-year break, which is known in legal circles as Divorce Day.
