The Passion - coming to a small screen near you

"It promises to be the most honest and challenging account of Jesus seen on TV in many years."

Andrew Graystone
Director of the Churches Media Council

Jesus - from BBC's 'The Passion'This Easter, the BBC will be showing a drama series called "The Passion" based on the Biblical account of Jesus' death and resurrection.

The BBC One Holy week drama, filmed in Morocco and culminating on Easter Sunday, is told from the point of view of Caiaphas, Pilate and the disciples.

The cast includes Joseph Mawle (Jesus), James Nesbitt (Pilate), Paul Nicholls, Ben Daniels, Laura Fraser, Denis Lawson and David Oyelowo.

People across the nations will be prompted to think about and discuss the character of Jesus as a result of the drama. We would encourage Christians to utilise this exciting opportunity for engaging in discussion.
