Life Beyond Debt

Every English citizen is covered by one of the Church of England's 13,500 parishes. 'A Matter of Life and Debt' is the Church of England's campaign to equip our parishes and church members to be aware of the issue of debt, to encourage them to increase their capacity for ministering to those in debt, and to make a wider contribution to challenge the seemingly accepted norm that current levels of indebtedness are acceptable.  The campaign has had a number of elements to it, including the publishing of prayers, seeking a broad media coverage as well as equipping church leaders with basic resources and pointing them to organisations who can help them go further.
