18 January 2006 - 'Respect is who you are, not what you have'.

"Respect is a profoundly theological idea which claims that people are to be respected because they are made in God’s image. It’s what we are, not what we own."

25 January 2006 - 'Respect is the bedrock of community cohesion'.

"The Church has a right to be heard, not because the people in it are perfect, but simply because in the quest for a better world it has been more enduring and self-sacrificing than any political philosophy, or corporate personality. Its sign posts may be dusty but broadly speaking, they still point in the right direction."

08 February 2006 - 'Respect is what you say I am'.

"Language is an important distinguishing feature of what it means to be human. More than the manipulation of our consonants and vowels, it is the discourse of the human spirit. So what is said – or not said - becomes the currency of social engagement."

15 February 2006 - 'Respect is a state of mind and the responsibility of the state'.

"The battle for Respect must take public opinion into account. The democratic process needs a change in public views and morality not just the private convictions of Parliamentarians. This has always been the case."
