Peter LynasPeter Lynas, Director of Northern Ireland

Peter qualified as a lawyer and practiced as a barrister in Northern Ireland for five years before completing his Masters in Divinity at Regent College, Vancouver.

Peter's passion is for a better society. He previously worked for the Relationships Foundation specialising in family policy and was a spokesperson for the Keep Sunday Special campaign. Peter set up the faith@work initiative at Belfast Bible College and continues to work part-time at Causeway Coast Vineyard.

Married with two daughters, Peter is also a keen snow boarder, photographer and cyclist.

David SmythDavid Smyth, public policy officer, Northern Ireland

David Smyth is public policy officer at the Evangelical Alliance Northern Ireland. Prior to taking up his post in December 2011, David trained as a solicitor in Portadown and practised in Newry. He has a keen interest in current affairs, politics and recent local history. David is passionate about how biblical values can better shape society for the wellbeing of everyone and seeing the church lead in the transformation of relationships in Northern Ireland.

Married to Jude and father to Maeve, he enjoys travelling, being outdoors and open fires.

Dawn McAvoy, Administrator & Researcher

Dawn took up her post in 2011 having spent a year volunteering with the Alliance contributing to the public affairs side of things here in Northern Ireland. In addition to keeping the office (and staff) in order, Dawn is a busy wife and mum of three girls.

Dawn also enjoys yoga and being an active part of the church plant in Kirkubbin where she and her family worship.
