The ABCs of being free to disagree

The Ashers Bakery case is due to heard next Thursday and Friday the 26-27th March. The Christian Institute have asked Aidan O'Neill QC to write an opinion on the case which is available here. He discusses the significant consequences for everyone if anyone is forced to express a view they disagree with.

Trevor Phillips, the former head of the Equality and Human Rights Commission in England and Wales has been in the media this week talking about the devastating impact in the UK of the silencing of the debate around race. There seem to be parallels with the way sexuality is currently being discussed with the intimidation of those who dare to ask questions.

And finally the ABC - that's the Archbishop of Canterbury - was in town for St Patrick's Day. He talked about the need for reconciliation which turns destructive conflict into creative diversity and disagreement.
