Photographers
The Evangelical Alliance would like to thank and commend all the photographers whose work is featured on this site.
Dawie Verwey
Dawie Verwey completed his National Diploma in photography at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa. After his studies he spent some time in New York gaining international experience. He now resides in London exploring new territory for his work.
Dawie is a specialist in food photography and décor. He has shot with BBC chef Alan Coxon and British designer Sebastian Conran as well as photographing the food of Ainsley Harriot and Bill Granger.
Dawie has a knack for portraiture. He has photographed many South African celebrities including South African Finance Minister Trevor Manual, former SA Rugby captain Corne Krige, SA Cricket captain Graham Smith and SA film director Regard Van den Berg.
Louise van der Merwe
Louise van der Merwe did her Masters degree in town planning at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. It was during her student years that her love of photography started to develop.
A largely self-taught photographer, Louise is very seldom without a camera in hand and she loves to document the lives of her friends and family around her. After she and her husband relocated to London she worked for Datography, a professional property photography company.
She is now a stay-at-home mum but continues to take her daughter, Cari, along with her as they explore and document their world together.
Alistair Stevenson
Alistair Stevenson is the Public Policy Officer for the Evangelical Alliance in Scotland. He has a degree from the University of Sheffield in History and Politics, also spending a year of his studies in the United States, at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Alistair has previously worked as a researcher for a Member of Parliament in Westminster, becoming an active member of the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship.
When it comes to photography Alistair is an amateur enthusiast.
Craig Hunter
Craig Hunter is a graphic designer by training. He and his wife run a small design company called Stereo, based outside Belfast.
Stereo Studio mixes smart strategy with striking visuals to produce distinctive design work that really influences how people think and feel. Even though photography is 'work' he still manages to enjoy it.
He is also involved with his local church, and is a keen painter, musician and cook.
