How to Address Members of the House of LordsThe guidelines for writing to a Member of the House of Lords would be the same as those in How to Write to your MP, the only difference would be in the way that the Peer would be addressed.

Duke:
Beginning of Letter ... Dear Duke of London
End of Letter ... Yours sincerely
Envelope ... His Grace the Duke of London

Marquess :
Beginning of Letter ... Dear Lord London
End of Letter ... Yours sincerely
Envelope ... The Most Hon. the Marquess of London

Earl:
Beginning of Letter ... Dear Lord London
End of Letter ... Yours sincerely
Envelope ... The (Rt Hon. the) Earl (of) London

Countess:
Beginning of Letter ... Dear Lady London
End of Letter ... Yours sincerely
Envelope ... The Countess (of) London

Viscount:
Beginning of Letter ... Dear Lord London
End of Letter ... Yours sincerely
Envelope .. The (Rt Hon. the) Viscount London

Baron:
Beginning of Letter ... Dear Lord London
End of Letter ... Yours sincerely
