Church services at the Party Conferences
During September and early October the political parties will be holding their annual conferences. At each conference there is a church service and other events organised by the Christian group within the party. If you live in Bournemouth, Brighton or Manchester, or close by, find out more about the events and come along.
Liberal Democrats, Bournemouth 19-23 September
During Autumn Conference every year, the Liberal Democrat Christian Forum has the great pleasure of joining with the members of a local congregation to celebrate a conference service. Once again, LDCF is being graciously hosted by St Andrew's United Reformed Church at 6.30pm on Sunday 20th September and you can find out more about the church on their website at http://www.bournemouth-urc.org.uk/
Each morning, Sunday-Wednesday, there is a Morning Praise meeting – Breakfast is provided on Monday and Tuesday, so do come along more information is available at the Liberal Democrat Christian Forum website
The Liberal Democrat Christian Forum also takes its place within the extensive programme of fringe meetings that take place every year at Autumn Conference. The LDCF Fringe Meeting will be held at 8pm to 9.15pm on Tuesday 22nd September and will be hosted at Connect 2, Premier Inn, Bournemouth Central.
The theme of the Fringe Meeting is Affordable Housing and the issues surrounding its provision and accessibility to those in need right across the country. Amongst the members of the panel grappling with this subject will be Tim Farron MP.

Beginning with the Conference Church service on Sunday 27 Sept, the Christian Socialist Movement will then be hosting a range of seminars across the week focusing on Climate Change, Poverty, Young People and the Future of the Economy, Morals and Banking and Development.

Conservatives, Manchester 5-8 October
"Transforming Manchester"
The Conservative Christian Fellowship is working with representatives from Greater Manchester Churches, to hold the annual Church Service during the Conservative Party Conference in October. In 2008 in Birmingham, nearly 700 people attended making it the largest fringe event at conference. The Chairman of the Conservative Party Eric Pickles MP, and Baroness Warsi, Shadow Minister for Community Cohesion are amongst attendees. It would be wonderful if Christians in Greater Manchester attended the service to illustrate their vibrancy, youth, passion and numerical strength.
Come and join us on Tuesday 6th October 2009 in The Great Hall of Manchester Town Hall, M60 2LA (outside the secure area). No ticket needed, just turn up. The service begins at 6.30pm and finishes at 7.15pm prompt. Doors open at 6.00pm for a special performance from "Manchester Sing Out" Choir. For further details and speakers click here, or visit the Conservative Christian Fellowship's website for information about all the events planned at the Conservative Party conference.
