The Evangelical Alliance has worked for several years on the issue of Gambling and Casino Proliferation. We have met with the Government ministers and officials concerned at every stage of the process from consultation to legislation, from the initial drafts of the Gambling Bill, to the eventual and much Altered Gambling Act. We have given evidence to the Parliamentary committee which scrutinised the legislation as well as to the London Assembly regarding the casino proposals in London.
We work in conjunction with the Methodist Church, the Salvation Army, Quaker Action on Alcohol and Drugs, CARE and the Church of England.
We gave evidence to the London assembly on casino developments in London:-
