Dr R David Muir

Director of Public Policy

David is a Politics & Government graduate. He has an MA in Political Education and Public Policy from London University and a Ph.D in Theology (Black Political Theology & Pentecostalism) from King’s College, London. David taught history and politics at London University and Caribbean Studies at the London Metropolitan University where he is a Visiting Fellow.
Dr Muir was a member of the Government’s Policy Action Team and a senior lecturer at London Metropolitan University. He has advised the Home Secretary on Citizenship and integration and served as deputy chairman of the Metropolitan Police Authority.

Don Horrocks

Head of Public Affairs

Don Horrocks, Head of Public Affairs,spent 25 years in business in corporate banking and management consultancy. Completed a theological PhD at London Bible College in 2001 and headed up the Evangelical Alliance's Policy Commission for 3 years. Don was appointed Public Affairs Manager for the Alliance in September 2001. He has edited books on transsexuality and GM crops and foods. A Research Fellow at London Bible College, Don is married with 3 children.

Parliamentary Officer

Gareth Wallace, Parliamentary Officer for the Alliance in Westminster, is a Graduate in Politics and History from Brunel University. He has worked for Her Majesties Inspectorate of Prisons at the Home Office as well as working in Westminster for the leader of one of the main UK political parties. His most recent role was as assistant to a UK Christian leader experienced in media and public affairs. Gareth joined the team in August 2003.

Susannah Clark

Public Theology Researcher and Administrator

Susannah graduated in June 2007 from St John’s College, Cambridge in Theology, with a particular interest in New Testament Studies and World Christianity. At university Susannah enjoyed sport, music and was the welfare officer for the college student union. Before university she first spent a gap year working with the Oasis Trust in South Africa. Her interest in Africa didn’t stop there and she proceeded to return in the university summer holidays and also worked for Compassion UK.
