Christian international conservation organisation campaigning and working practically to care for God's creation. They have developed an initiative entitled "Living Lightly" that aims to encourage individuals to make practical day to day changes that can make a real difference to the environment. A Rocha is also a major player in the carbon offsetting scheme Climate Stewards (see below).

A broadly-based organisation creating awareness of ecological problems and suggesting responses; promoting Christian understanding within the Green movement. Comprehensive booklist available. CEL produces a quarterly magazine, 'Green Christians'. ChurchLink is a free scheme to provide churches and communities with information and resources about Christian Ecology events and issues. Churches who join ChurchLink receive a two sided A4 leaflet/poster to display at their church once a year and they can become involved with the activities of local Christian Ecology groups.CEL produces prayer guides and sermon notes on green themes. CEL promotes a modular training programme called Ecocell that shows participants ways of living a more sustainable life.
Eco-Congregation
Is an ecumenical project helping churches make the link between environmental issues and the Christian faith with the aim of encouraging them to take practical action in the church, in the lives of individuals and in the local and global community.

The John Ray Initiative

The John Ray Initiative was formed to stimulate thinking and practical action regarding environmental sustainability, to promote responsible stewardship in accordance with Christian principles and the wise use of science and technology. Its vision is to bring together scientific and Christian understandings of the environment in a way that can be widely communicated and lead to effective action. John Ray was a visionary seventeenth century scientist and Christian. Offers a range of resources, including briefings, Bible Studies, and other materials.
