In this Podcast Elaine Duncan, Chief Executive of the Bible Society in Scotland joins Fred and Alistair to discuss the relationship of the Scottish Church with the bible in modern society. Elaine shares her experience of engaging Christians with the bible over more than 25 years of working within Christian evangelistic organisations and about the reality of the word of God which dramatically transforms people's lives. Elaine also discusses some of the forthcoming projects of the Scottish Bible Society which will celebrate its centenary in 2009.
Excerpt:
"We have lost a real sense of excitement about the Bible. But its jam packed with really interesting, intriguing, exciting stories of human life and Gods and intervention and involvement. I think we need to somehow help one another stand back from it and rediscover the stories. Rediscover that sense of anticipation; that sense of excitement that in fact God will communicate with us."

2nd edition 2gether Scotland Podcast with Justin Dowds, Director of Lemonade Productions and the Frenzy Christian Music Festival
Excerpt:
“We are now encountering a generation who have never been forced to go to a church Sunday school…..who have never been to a church; many of them have never actually heard the name of Jesus before, and so the evangelistic strategy has to be completely different. Coming to Frenzy is quiet a shift for people who have never understood or experienced Christ before, to come and have a whole day of praise and worship.”
