Generate Justice
This is your opportunity to be involved, get your voice heard and make your stand for justice. We will be gathering in central London for a day not to be missed. Shane Claibourne is joining us for the day on the 22nd May 2010 to get out in London to engage with and protest issues in our world at the moment.
Do you ever read an article / watch the news / see an issue but feel completely powerless to do anything about it? AIDs, water sanitation, persecution, climate change and international tax are all very overwhelming issues, but here is a great way to get stuck in with public, prophetic, massive acts of justice about these very issues.
From Westminster Central Hall, through Parliament Square, past Downing Street and finishing at Leicester Square, 1,000 people will march through key locations, stopping at four stations where we will engage with issues and get to know more about what's going on in our world. So whether it's blowing whistles, petitioning for freedom or waving red cards, this is a really practical way to respond to what we're seeing, hearing and reading about.
This event is being run by Emerging Culture in partnership with our friends at Open Doors and Christian Aid, who will be running some of the activities.
In the meantime, join the viral campaign Stamp Out Injustice! in the build-up to the event: download the pack attached to the Emerging Culture website, stick a footprint to your shoe, take a photo, and upload it to the website.
