Young Adults Leaders Gathering
We would love to invite you to a really informal gathering of young adults leaders from across Brighton and Hove for a time of growing in relationship and discussion on how we might unite for better mission to our age group. We are really privileged to have Mike Pilavachi and Krish Kandiah coming to share with us.
While we read in the gospels loads of examples of the prayer life of Jesus - we never imagine that some of his pray...ers would be unanswered and remain unanswered even to this day.
The gospel of John, chapter 17 Jesus calls out to his father saying..."I pray that all of them may be one… so that the world may believe that you have you have sent me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." That awesome prayer for Christian unity, which remains key to God's mission on Earth, remains desperately unfulfilled to this day.
At the heart of this prayer is a vision of God's people as one body- a church united for mission - ultimately a church united so that the world would know Jesus. Here at the Evangelical Alliance everything we do works towards this vision. We believe that a spirit of unity is central to a new generation of young adults rising up to make the name of Jesus know across this land.
The aim of this evening gathering is to pick your brains for ideas and experience on how we could start to draw young adults together, in unity for better mission in our city. How will our leadership work towards drawing the Church together for mission? How will we, as a generation united effectively preach the gospel in word and deed to our generation - what some would say is the missing generation within our churches? Without a Church united, will our mission to the world always be limited?
We want to invite you to be a part of this vital conversation and play a key role in feeding into the holistic work of the wider church.
