The Theology Advisory Group (TAG) is a non-executive advisory body to the Evangelical Alliance which meets four times a year. It is made up of a range of experts in the fields of theology and public policy, and connects the work of the Evangelical Alliance with academic theological contexts and debates. It aims to reflect the broad range of evangelicalism in the UK, and members affirm our basis of faith and ethos and practice statement.

### Malcolm Duncan (Chair)

Malcolm Duncan is a pastor, a preacher and leader, currently leading Kensington Temple, London City Church. He is a Pentecostal Public, Practical and Pastoral Theologian, with specific research interests in the role of the Pastor in the Public Square and the importance and impact of the Bible and the Gospel in the Public Square and in Civil Society. He is passionate about the Bible and committed to preaching the whole counsel of God to the best of His ability, under the anointing power of the Holy Spirit. He loves the church and longs to see it make the impact on the world that Christ has called it to. He believes that Christians are called to live for their Saviour in every sphere of their lives and that churches are communities of people, called to blaze the light of Christ into the world around us. He is the Theologian-in-Residence for Spring Harvest and the Essential Christian Group and serves on several national steering groups and councils of reference. He a member of the Evangelical Alliance Council. He is an author, lecturer, broadcaster and international speaker and Bible teacher. Malcolm is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, a Fellow of the Institute of Pentecostal Theology, a member of the European Pentecostal Theology Association and the British and Irish Association of Practical Theology. He is the author of 16 books.

Malcolm is married to Debbie, who is an academic in nursing. She is the author of seventeen books across the disciplines of nursing and theology. Debbie is a Queens Nurse, and a member of the Association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists. She has served in the NHS since 1986.  
  
Debbie and Malcolm have been married since 1993. They have four adult children by birth and one by informal fostering, all of whom are married and serving Christ. They have four grandchildren.

### Alexander Chow

Alexander Chow, a Chinese American, is Senior Lecturer in Theology and World Christianity and Co-Director of the Centre for the Study of World Christianity in the School of Divinity, University of Edinburgh. He is the author or editor of seven books, including *Chinese Heritage in British Christianity* (SCM Press, 2025) and *The Oxford Handbook of Digital Theology* (with Jonas Kurlberg; Oxford University Press, forthcoming).

### Andrew Goddard

The Revd Dr Andrew Goddard teaches ethics at Ridley Hall in Cambridge and Westminster Theological College. He is ordained in the Church of England and ministers at St James the Less, Pimlico.

### Dan Strange

Dan is director of Crosslands Forum, a centre for cultural engagement and missional innovation. Formerly he was college director at Oak Hill College, London. He is a visiting professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, contributing editor for Themelios, and a Fellow of The Keller Center for Cultural Apologetics. His most recent books are Plugged In (The Good Book Company, 2019), and Making Faith Magnetic (The Good Book Company, 2021). His areas of interest are theology of religions, cultural engagement, and missiology in general. Dan is married to Elly, has a large family, and is an elder of Hope Community Church in Gateshead in the North East of England.

### Grace Bally-Balogun

Rev. Dr. Grace Bally-Balogun is a Lecturer in Pastoral Theology at St. Mellitus College. Her specialist areas are Christian Leadership, Charismatic &amp; Pentecostal Theologies and Change &amp; Culture. Before being ordained, Grace was widely involved in children and youth ministries and spent several years in lay leadership. Grace has over two decades of commercial experience in IT, Retail, HR and business transformation programmes at top 100 UK companies. Today, she merges Leadership principles with theological depth. Her academic portfolio includes a Doctor of Ministry and Master of Arts in Church Ministries from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (USA), as well as a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from St Mellitus College (UK). Grace also holds an MSc in Computing and Manufacturing from the Open University, and a PgDip in Management Studies from Kingston University. Grace is a Trustee of Just Money Movement and Vice- Chair of Bringing Hope Ltd., a Birmingham-based charity that provides rehabilitation programmes for young men. She loves spending time with her two young adult children, catching up with friends and learning the cello.

### Helen Miller

Helen Miller is Head of Research and Professional Development at Moorlands College. Within this role, she leads the College’s MA Applied Theology programme and teaches on the College’s undergraduate programmes. Helen and her husband Tim are part of Bournemouth Community Church, where they are involved in preaching and leading sung worship. Helen and Tim enjoy their proximity to the sea through paddle boarding, swimming and running.

### James Eglinton

Dr James Eglinton is the Meldrum Senior Lecturer in Reformed Theology at the University of Edinburgh. His most recent book, Bavinck: A Critical Biography, won The Gospel Coalition Book of the Year prize in history and biography in 2020, and was a finalist for the Evangelical Christian Publishers of America book of the year prize in 2021. His writings have been published in The Times, The Herald, The Scotsman, the Nederlands Dagblad, Christianity Today, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, The Gospel Coalition, and Modern Reformation.

### Jonathan Loose

Dr Jon Loose is Research Director for a Christian Trust and a lecturer at the University of Highlands and Islands. He has a background both as Senior Lecturer in Philosophy and Psychology within a University of London college and as a leader within an independent evangelical church.

### John Risbridger

After 10 years in student ministry, John became Minister and Team Leader of Above Bar Church in Southampton where he and his wife served together for 18 years, alongside John’s work as Chair of Council for the Evangelical Alliance and (earlier) Chair of Keswick Ministries. John is the author of The Message of Worship (part of IVP’s Bible Speaks Today series) and has completed an MA in Global Ecclesiology at All Nations Christian College. He now helps to train emerging leaders in the Newfrontier's Catalyst Network and is passionate about mission being centred on the local church and good news for the whole of life.

### Julia Doxat-Purser

Julia is the European Evangelical Alliance’s socio-political representative and religious liberty coordinator. Julia’s role is to help evangelicals engage in the public arena effectively and in a Christ-like manner. She particularly enjoys encouraging the next generation of evangelicals and works in partnership with IFES. She teaches, writes, offers advocacy and consultancy support and connects specialists together. She co-convenes the European Religious Liberty Forum, bringing together the Christian religious liberty community. Her main research and advocacy interest are how to promote freedom of conscience so that society understands how vital a foundational right it is for everyone. She founded and facilitates European Freedom Network, linking ministries working on human trafficking and prostitution. Julia’s favourite places are at a dinner table with her husband Alistair and friends, her garden, walking by and swimming in the sea.

### Peter Morden

Peter is Principal of Bristol Baptist College which seeks to form men and women who are ‘able, evangelical, lively, and zealous’ for all forms of ministry. Evangelical history and evangelical spirituality, and how these relate to mission and ministry today, are his main research interests and he has written a range of articles and books on these themes. These include *​‘Communion with Christ and his People’: The Spirituality of C.H. Spurgeon* (Wipf and Stock, 2014) and *The Message of Discipleship: Following Jesus in Today’s World* (Leicester: IVP, 2018). He is married to Cheryl and they make they home in Bristol. To relax he runs, walks, and spends time with family and friends.

### Ruth Perrin

Dr Ruth Perrin works as a freelance trainer, speaker, writer, and researcher. She is a research fellow at St. John’s College, associate staff member at King’s Church in Durham, and on the teaching faculty for Westminster Theological Centre. She has 25 years ministry experience in, and beyond, the UK in church and para-church contexts and a particular (but not exclusive) interest in the faith of young adults. Her most recent book, *Changing Shape; The faith lives of Millennials* (SCM) was published in 2020. ### Sarah Shin

Sarah is lecturer in practical theology and Reformation history at Westminster Theological Centre. She was formerly the Associate National Director for Evangelism for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, USA, and currently serves on the Vineyard UK-Ireland's Racial Diversity Network team. Sarah is the author of 'Beyond Colorblind' (IV Press, 2017) and children's books 'The Deliverer Has Come' and 'The Great Waking Up' (Penguin Random House, 2024 &amp; 2026). She, her husband, and daughter live in Aberdeen and are part of Catalyst Vineyard Church

### Simo Frestadius

Simo (PhD, University of Birmingham) is the Vice Principal of Regents Theological College and an ordained minister in the Elim Pentecostal Church. He is also the Vice Chair of the World Alliance for Pentecostal Theological Education (WAPTE). His teaching and research focuses on Pentecostal theology, philosophical theology, and public theology. His publications include *Signs, Wonders and Miracles: Divine Action, Pentecostalism, and Science* (2025 CPT Press), co-edited with Claire Williams; *Pentecostal Public Theology: Engaged Christianity and Transformed Society in Europe* (2024 Palgrave Macmillan), co-edited with Mark J. Cartledge; *Anglicans and Pentecostals in Dialogue* (2023 Pickwick Publications), co-edited with David Hilborn; *Pentecostal Rationality: Epistemology and Theological Hermeneutics in the Foursquare Tradition* (2020 Bloomsbury T&amp;T Clark). Simo is originally from Finland, although he spent most of his childhood in Tanzania. He is married to Caroline and they have three young children.

### Solomon Osagie

Solomon is leading General Counsel at a UK bank and has worked in financial services and in academia for many years. He studied law and international relations at Cambridge and holds postgraduate degrees from Kings College and Anglia Ruskin. Dr Osagie worked in private practice and then moved into industry. Dr Osagie has been recognised for his work with nominations for General Counsel of the year, Lawyer of the Year and entries in the FT lawyer rankings as well as the Legal 500. He sits on the cross-border payments committee of UK Finance and is a member of the governing council of Cranfield University. Solomon is a member of Kensington Temple, London City Church and has spoken often about his faith and the Judeo-Christian values that have influenced the ethical, legal and moral frameworks of much of society and how this intersects with the personal and public places of thought in a manner that is often largely unrecognised. A qualified neuroscientist, Solomon is a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health. He is married to Linda, and they have 2 children.
