#### Not sure what the word really means? Evangelicals are passionate about God, about the church and about the Bible. At the heart of evangelical faith are four convictions:

 

  **Bibliocentric** – We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that the scriptures reveal universal and eternal truth to all humankind.

**Cruciocentric** – A clear focus on the death and resurrection of Jesus and his atoning work on the cross.

**Conversionist** – A strong conviction around the need for personal conversion. People don’t come to faith by osmosis. We get on our knees and surrender our lives to Jesus our Saviour.

**Activist** – The gospel needs to be lived out in actions too as we seek to make the world more like the Kingdom and proclaim God’s Kingdom come.
