NICAN came together in 2015 with the aim of: Resourcing the Church in Northern Ireland for a confident defence of the faith and a persuasive presentation of the gospel. NICAN has three goals:
- Strategic development of apologetics ministries
- Providing apologetics training and equipping
- Organising apologetics events for sceptics
