A wide range of churches and mission agencies across the UK and Ireland have engaged the services of Mark Mason Employment Law for advice that is particular to the Christian ethos.

The business is owned and managed by Mark Mason. Mark is supported by two other employment law advisers and a PA. Mark qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and has been advising in employment law ever since. From 2010, he has been exclusively advising in employment law and in 2012, he established his own employment law consultancy business.

As a Christian who specialises in employment law, one of the main motivations for Mark in establishing the business was to provide employment law and HR support to churches and other organisations with a Christian ethos.

Mark takes a particular interest in advising churches and other faith-based organisations on equality law issues such as when it can be said that certain roles must be undertaken by a Christian and ensuring that the recruitment documentation reflects this requirement. Mark’s aim in advising faith-based clients is to ensure that all HR procedures, from recruitment to dismissal, are carried out in a way that is in keeping with legal requirements and the Christian ethos of the employer.

Since 2014 Global Connections has benefited extensively from Mark Mason’s services. Mark has updated our Staff Handbook HR policies each year, has been a consultant for us when seeking guidance in managing specific HR issues internally, and has been invaluable as we have sought to maintain high standards in our own recruitment processes. Mark has also spoken at events we have organised for the Global Connections network to help Christian organisations and churches understand the implications of discrimination law for them – these were excellent. Markis very approachable and personable as well as being very professional. We would highly recommend him.”
