Apply for the Public Leader: England course

For the 2021 Public Leader England course the three core retreats will take place in Windsor in January, May and November, exact dates and details will be confirmed soon.

Participants will be asked to contribute a subsidised rate of £600 towards the course. We encourage participants to consider approaching their workplace or church for support. There may be some limited bursaries available after acceptance on the course, depending on individual financial circumstances.

In addition to the teaching weekends, participants will be invited to discovery events’ throughout the year. These events allow us to meet leaders in their context and understand some of the key institutions and spheres that shape society. In previous years we have visited parliament and held a private meeting with an MP; toured the British Museum to consider the historical story presented; heard from a panel of leaders in different areas of the arts; and attended a walking tour of London visiting sites associated with public leaders like William Wilberforce and Elizabeth Fry.

New for the 2021 course will be four core teaching sessions throughout the year, these will be a mixed format drawing together the four cohorts from across the UK, and these will be available either online or with each national group gathered together.

At the end of the course participants will be invited to join the alumni network and attend exclusive events such as a summer BBQ, Christmas social and media masterclass.

We’re still finalising speakers for 2021. Previous speakers include:
