The South Asian Forum connects, unites and represents South Asians across the UK.

As a uniting body connecting South Asian churches, we bring together key practitioners and leaders to work alongside mainstream denominations to make Christ known.

It is estimated that out of the more than three million South Asians living in the UK, only 75,000 are followers of Jesus. The heart of the South Asian Forum (SAF) is to enable more South Asians in the UK to personally discover Jesus Christ. SAF equips the UK church in reaching those of other faiths and cultures through facilitating cross-cultural mission training events, developing evangelistic resources, coaching emerging leaders and raising awareness about the work of key mission agencies.

SAF also connects and unites those involved in mission to the South Asian disapora and involvement in advocacy work on behalf of South Asian Christians in the UK and overseas. SAF is mindful of the pressures on Christians in South Asia, through persecution and the oppression of minorities and wants to provide an effective lobbying voice and forum for justice for all such people.

SAF supports and enhances the work of its members by bringing them together for events including regional and national prayer days and other gatherings, representing its members’ concerns to government, media and the wider church, and connecting with other organisations on issues around persecution, including Christian Solidarity Worldwide, Release International, etc.

SAF encourages and produces new initiatives and joint programmes to help Christians reach South Asians with the good news of Jesus and provides theological reflection and resources on key issues.
