Across the nations of the UK, significant changes in how children from age three onwards are taught about issues of what family is, what a good relationships is, the purpose (or lack thereof) of sex and, indeed, what it means to be human are increasingly being taught in schools.

To help Christian parents, the Evangelical Alliance has put together content and resources (with more on the way) to help equip and encourage you.

Who we are is intrinsically linked to how we relate to others. Fundamental to Christians is the belief that all people are created male and female in the image of God, which bestows an inalienable dignity and respect on all people.

For Christians who worship the Triune God who is love, and are created in His image, loving relationships are core to what it means to be human.

Parents and carers have a crucial role to play in working with their local school. Whatever type of school your child attends, you should still have the opportunity to engage with the school on these issues.

These new subjects present Christian parents and carers with challenges but also opportunities. This is a moment to share how we understand the love of God shapes who we are and the impact that has on how we relate to others.
