 Who we are

## Since 1846, the Evangelical Alliance has been sharing the gospel, lifting voices of hope and building unity.

We are the oldest and largest evangelical unity movement in the UK, joining together thousands of individuals, churches and organisations as together we make Jesus known.

We love Jesus and want everyone in the UK to be given an opportunity to know Him. We love His church, and will do all we can to unite evangelicals, build confidence in the gospel and speak as a trusted voice into society to see it changed for Him.

Over 28,000 personal members use our find a church page to find an evangelical church when they move to a new area. Is your church listed?

 Our commitments to you

## We exist to serve our members.

And so we make the following commitments to you.

1

### Relationship.

We promise to introduce you to like-minded Christians representing the breadth of the evangelical church in the UK. When you join us, you join a community saturated in prayer, sharing best practice, ideas, experience, support and encouragement.

2

### Representation.

We promise to champion the freedoms we have in the UK to have a public faith in Jesus and share that faith with others. We will represent the needs and interests of the church in politics, the media and civil society, speaking out on issues that matter, with a hope-filled, trustworthy and confident voice.

3

### Resource.

We promise to share the wealth of resources, expertise and ideas of our members with our members. With the gospel at the very heartbeat of who we are, we will provide you with excellent, credible resources to help you to share the good news of Jesus.

 ## What other church leaders say about membership

  > We joined the Evangelical Alliance because partnership in Christ enables us to support and encourage one another in our mission.

Tim Jeffery, CEO, Torch Trust, members since 1963

    > Church membership of the Evangelical Alliance matters because unity strengthens our witness. In a culture where core Christian beliefs can feel increasingly countercultural, standing together brings clarity, credibility, and courage. It reminds us we are not alone, but part of something bigger, holding to truth and speaking with a shared voice; I’d strongly encourage all churches to become an Evangelical Alliance member.

Mike Nicholls, Senior Pastor at Birmingham City Church

    > We stand with the Evangelical Alliance because we believe our church is stronger together than apart. As a Leader, it connects me to a wider voice, provides wisdom and accountability and reminds me that we are part of something far bigger.

Richard Tucker, Senior Leader at Powerhouse Church Doncaster.
