Gavin Calver and Phil Knox launch inspirational small group resource to accompany their new book, Good News People
Today, The Evangelical Alliance launches the Good News People small group resource – a guide for open conversation about what it means to be a good news person in a bad news world.
Written by co-authors, long-time friends and passionate evangelists Gavin Calver (CEO) and Phil Knox (evangelism and missiology senior specialist), this small group resource is designed to help unpack some of the key themes within the book, and collectively explore our identity as evangelicals, trusting in the Bible and being rooted in Jesus.
“Good News People is a celebration of all that God is doing across the UK church, and a call to the church to live with confidence, unity and gospel hope,” says Gavin Calver. “We believe this small group resource is an invitation to hold fast to our theological foundations and become better equipped at boldly sharing the good news of Jesus with confidence and clarity.”
Phil Knox said: "This resource invites us to root ourselves in biblical truth and respond with boldness, equipping the church to engage the world with the transforming message of the gospel."

ABOUT GOOD NEWS PEOPLE
Good News People is a book and project by the Evangelical Alliance. Complete with stories from across the UK church of God on the move. As well as a manifesto of hope, it is a call for the church to redeem the word ‘evangelical’ and unite around an identity of good news people.
About the Evangelical Alliance
We are the Evangelical Alliance. We join together hundreds of organisations, thousands of churches and tens of thousands of individuals for the sake of the gospel. Representing our members since 1846, the Evangelical Alliance is the oldest and largest evangelical unity movement in the UK.
We love Jesus and we want everyone in the UK to be given an opportunity to know Him.
We love His church, and we will do all we can to unite evangelicals, building confidence in the gospel and speaking as a trusted voice into society to see it changed for Him.
Working across the UK, with offices in London, Cardiff, Glasgow and Belfast, our members come together from across denominations, locations, age groups and ethnicities, all sharing a passion to know Jesus and make Him known.
