Jo Frost, director of communications and engagement, leaves the Evangelical Alliance

After eight eventful years, helping lead the Evangelical Alliance through new resources and podcast launches, Covid, cyber-attacks, elections and quiet revivals, Jo Frost, director of communications and engagement, will be leaving the Evangelical Alliance on 20 February, to take up a new role as executive director at The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA).

Jo Frost said: "It has been an honour and privilege to serve the Evangelical Alliance as director of communications and engagement for the last eight years.

"I want to thank Steve Clifford, Gavin Calver and the board for their leadership and wisdom over the years, and the staff team both past and present who have made coming to work every day an utter joy.

"Equipping the church to live out and share the glorious news of Jesus has been my passion since the day I gave my life to Him 23 years ago. It has taken many forms and guises over the years, but I’m floored by the wonder of God’s invitation to not only lead the team at the Oxford Centre of Christian Apologetics, but to do so in such a season of openness and curiosity about the gospel.

"My prayer for both the Evangelical Alliance as I leave and OCCA as I start is simple: that “since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, Lord help us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,” (Hebrews 12:1 ) Amen."

Gavin Calver said of Jo's departure: "One of my favourite things about serving at the Evangelical Alliance is the amazing team I get to work alongside. For more than eight years, our communications and engagement director, Jo Frost, has been an essential part of our team. She’s brought an incredible skillset, godly character, wisdom and insight to our comms as well as the wider leadership of the organisation.

"I’ll always be grateful to Jo for her service, friendship and support. With her help, we have handled many challenging issues, seen our individual membership double and done much to support the evangelical church as we have sought to make Jesus known. She will be hugely missed, and I hope you will join me in praying for her and cheering her on as she leaves us to lead our member organisation OCCA."
