Talking Toddlers

New research shows that young families with children under five could be a vital element for church growth.

The Talking Toddlers report released in May 2020, shows that 74% of all parents with children under the age of five have attended a church-run activity in the past year.

This new research was commissioned by HOPE Together, the Church of England, and the Evangelical Alliance to highlight the potential for sustained church growth if the church nurtures the faith of under-fives and their parents.

Download a summary report of the survey findings here.

A PowerPoint showing the main research findings can be downloaded HERE for your information and use within your Church leadership, Toddler group teams etc.

We recently hosted a Talking Toddlers webinar to discuss the findings of the research. A recording of the webinar can be watched here.

A follow-up Webinar will take place on Friday 9th October from 10.00 — 11.30am via Zoom where we will hear stories of digital engagement with families of Under 5s, and what Churches need to consider and put in place to meet again in person within the current context. Sign up by emailing steph.pring@hopetogether.org.uk

In the meantime you can read an interview with Rachael Heffer, head of mission at the Evangelical Alliance, exploring how the research shows that all churches have an incredible opportunity to reach families of under-fives with the gospel.
