Welcome to the 2gether Scotland Website: July 2010

We love sharing stories and hope you enjoy reading and hearing about all the Lord is doing through his people in Scotland. Each month we will take a different theme, with articles and Podcast interviews from leaders, exploring essential topics affecting the Scottish Church. We hope that through reading the articles and listening to the Podcast we can help you stay networked and connected and be encouraged and excited by what the Lord is doing in Scotland.

This Months Hot Topic: Psalm 23

Welcome to the July 2gether Scotland cMail. Similar to last year, for the months of July and August our cMail articles are short reflections on a specific passage of scripture, demonstrating the great breadth and depth of the evangelical church in Scotland through its interpretation of Scripture. As an alliance we have the amazing privilege to bring together individuals, churches and organisations from across the evangelical spectrum to resource, nourish and benefit the wider church.

So, as we go into the summer, we have a couple of short reflections on Psalm 23 and the shepherding love of God.

Please note there is no Podcast this month.

Darnell StarksDarnell Starks is the Senior Pastor of Trinity Nazarene Church in Perth. He is originally from Chicago in the US, where he did his theological training at Moody Bible Institute. He moved to Scotland in 2003 and has been Pastor at Trinity Church since 2008.

 Extract: 

"You don't have to be familiar with sheep or shepherding to identify with the longing for peace, security and hope that this psalm expresses.  It's something that transcends all cultures and generations and it's why this psalm continues to bless people today."

Fred DrummondOur very own Rev Fred Drummond is the National Director of the Evangelical Alliance in Scotland. Before he joined the Alliance he was a Church of Scotland Minister at Riverside Church in Perth.
