Open Doors calls for big prayers to our big God

21 October 2019I spent a significant amount of time vaguely praying, “Your will be done”, fearful that any wrong theology or misspoken word could have disastrous effects. Of course, I’m sure this isn’t what the youth leader meant, but it took many years to realise that I’d jumped to the wrong conclusions.God is a good God who, as Luke 11 says, will not give us a snake if we ask for a fish or a scorpion if we ask for an egg. Open Doors’ pilgrimage: steps in the right direction

22 July 2019Jesus regularly took time out to pray. But in today’s world there seems to be an endless list of chores, admin and notification pings. And they’re not all superfluous. Call to back the persecuted church in China this Chinese New Year

1 February 2019Last year, 20 million Christians in China experienced persecution. Open Doors estimates it is now 50 million – that’s half of all Christians in China. In fact, China has jumped dramatically on the Open Doors World Watch List – the ranking of the top 50 countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian.
