Stockport Baptist Church is a welcoming and caring fellowship situated on the edge of Stockport town centre. The Church is community-focussed, working alongside other churches in Edgeley and Stockport. We share a mixture of old and new stylees of worship, taking advantage of modern technology.
Hope for asylum seekers
11 February 2022Much that we offered was very practical, from donating warm clothes and suitable footwear to helping them access local services such as buses and shops. Some people questioned why our church was getting so involved in helping these “foreigners” who were mostly from an Islamic background and had little or no knowledge of Christianity.
