In this Stormont Snapshot, we are encouraging evangelical Christians to pray for Stormont and the people who work there.

Here are three ways you can be praying:

1. For relationships in our local government

Our devolved government works on a power sharing arrangement. That makes it difficult to get agreement on important decisions. Pray for strong working relationships across the parties for the good of the people of Northern Ireland.

2. The Northern Ireland budget

The finance minister says the budget (due by the end of April) will be a single year budget and warns that it will be very tight. Pray for wisdom and discernment as the ministers make decisions on how to spend the money well for those who need it most.

3. The impact of the Easter story

This Easter, let’s pray that everyone at Stormont hears the good news about Jesus and knows the God who so loved the world, that He gave His only Son.
