The government are currently consulting on plans to end conversion therapy in England and Wales. The consultation is open to responses from across the UK and the deadline has been extended to 4 February.

Earlier in the year we wrote to the Prime Minister warning that a badly focused and worded policy could pose a significant threat to religious liberty and personal freedoms. We are encourage that the government’s intent appears to seek to protect religious freedom, but we are concerned that the plans lack clarity and in the confusion a clear threat to the freedom of churches and individual Christians remains.
