Including a… ](https://www.eauk.org/great-commission/resources/sports-mission-pack) I didn't really have time to think about church.I always thought that I was a believer and didn't have to go to church to believe.My name's Lucy and this is my story.My life before I became a Christian was pretty full on and whilst the church was always there in the background, life overtook all of that, life, career, marriage, children.The thing that led me to explore my faith in a deeper level was the fact that my husband had a massive stroke in January 2015 and he was then diagnosed with Parkinson's on top of that and life was very, very difficult for us.I cared for him for two and a half years and there were some very, very dark moments.At that time I was quite angry and depressed and just very low.'Cause I didn't see anything in our future, our future was great until this happened to Neil and it was like somebody had pulled the rug from under our feet and our life changed in that instant.And after his stroke, I stumbled or was guided towards Christ Church Felixstowe and my life changed from then and it took off in a whole different direction.It was just the whole enveloping of love and support from everyone.It lifted me because my caring role was very, very intense, very, very difficult because of my husband's needs which were 24/7.Because of Neil's illness, I think, that my Christian life I suppose took off.It was at 10:50 on the 5th of August, which was the last worship day of New Wine, and it was then that I asked God to forgive my sins and decided that I wanted to give my life to Jesus, and every day I take the opportunity to follow Jesus.New Wine was an awesome experience for me, nothing like I'd ever experienced before.The whole worship singing, praying, mind blowing.I began to pray differently, not for material things for me but just to have God in my life and to guide me towards Him.Jesus has been so supportive to me too and has wrapped me up and comforted me.I don't know what I'd do now without God in my life.
