The Evangelical Alliance is committed to being good news to society. We passionately believe Christians should be involved in all sectors of society and this certainly includes politics. We want to see a Church that is informed and equipped to engage in politics. And we want to help you play a part.

Politics affects all of our lives, whether this is through taxes paid, schools attended, treatment needed or pensions received. It is therefore crucial that Christians are present in all areas of public life, whether in parliament as an MP, on a local council, as a school governor or campaigning in the local community.

On these pages you will find news, comment and analysis on a wide variety of political issues. We hope that these articles will help keep you informed about what is going on, give you ideas about how you can be involved, and offer stories of people already playing their part.

In the box on the right hand side you can sign up to receive our monthly email about public affairs, PQ (Parliamentary Questions).

General election 2015

Alliance election websiteIn the lead up to the general election we will be speaking into the current political context with articles, blogs, videos, interviews and more. We'll also provide resources including policy briefings and guides to voting and running hustings. Visit our dedicated election website

We have produced a range of video resources, including the Biblically-based and beautifully animated Show Up video, designed for use at conferences and church gatherings, and a video of general director Steve Clifford speaking about why it's so important for Christians to engage in politics.

If you'd like to have someone speak at your church before the election please fill in our online speaker request form.
